Our Statement of Faith

(1) We believe in one God, the Creator of heaven and earth, existing in three persons equal in deity and importance : God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

(2) The Bible is the sole basis of our faith and belief. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word, written by men divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit ; that it is the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of manhood ; that it is absolutely trustworthy ; and that it has supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16- 17 ; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

(3) We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son. He is the living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. He is perfect God and true human united in one person forever. We believe that Jesus lived a sinless life and atoned for the sin of the world by his death on the cross, thus satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who trust in Him alone (Luke 1:26-38 ; John 1:14-18 ; Hebrews 1:3 ; Romans 3:21-26).

(4) We believe in Jesus’s bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, His high priestly intercession for His people, and His personal, visible return to the world according to His promise (1 Corinthians 15:3-7 ; 1 Thessalonians 5:13-17 ; Hebrews 4:14-16 ; Revelation 22:20).

(5) We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead : the believer to eternal life in the presence of God, the unbeliever to judgment and eternal separation from God (Genesis 1:26- 27 ; Ephesians 2:1-10 ; Romans 3:21-26 ; 1 Corinthians 15:50-57 ; Romans 2:6-11).

(6) We believe in the Holy Spirit who came from God into the world to reveal and glorify Christ and apply the saving work of Christ to all men and women. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment ; and regenerates, sanctifies, empowers, and comforts those who believe in Jesus Christ (John 14:15-26 ; John 16:4-15 ; Acts 2:1-4 ; Romans 8:9-11 ; 18-27). Lofty

(7) We believe that mankind was originally created in the image of God, but through disobedience and sin, became alienated from God. The entire human race is, therefore, lost, and only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ can salvation be obtained, thus restoring mankind to a right relationship with God.

(8) We believe in the Church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head, and of which all regenerated people are members. God has laid upon the Church the task of persuading a lost world to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and to enthrone Him as their Lord and Master. We believe, therefore, that all believers should live in a manner that glorifies Christ (Ephesians 4:11-16 ; 2 Corinthians 5:16-21 ; Colossians 3:1-17).
