What We Believe: Our Core Values and Our Statement of Faith

Our Core Values

We endeavor to build a team Ministry by working together with unity and cooperation. We treasure each individual as a unique being, with a special call and destiny upon their lives. We desire steady, spiritual, and emotional growth by maturity in a Godly lifestyle. This maturity is developed through consistent prayer, stewardship, and the Word of God.

Our goal is to provide transformational relevant teaching in order to identify and discover our spiritual gifts.

We encourage everyone to discuss their passion and their calling; engaging themselves in the media, arts, government, education, and families. Through this involvement we desire to bring support and influence in the world of Christ.

We value the Christian family and believe this is the model for the Church. Therefore, we seek to build the Church family through caring and authentic relationships centered around genuine unconditional love.

With warmth and acceptance we welcome outsiders into our community and look to actively engage in fulfilling the great commission.

Our Statement of Faith

We are a Faith based, Bible based Church. We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments by the Holy Spirit as originally given; they are the final authority for our faith and life. {Hebrews 4:12; 2 Timothy 3:16}

We believe in one God revealed in three coequal, distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. {Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19-20; Ephesians 2:18}

We believe that man in his natural state is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope and without God. {Ephesians 2:1-2; Romans 3:23}

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who by His incarnation and virgin birth took upon Himself the form of man and became the God-Man. In the one person of Christ, there are two natures - human and divine, each in its completeness and integrity. They are distinguishable but indivisible, so that He is fully man and fully God. He lived a sinless life and became the only sacrifice for the sins of the world. {Ephesians 1:3-5; Romans 5:1-11; 1Peter 1:18-19}

We believe in the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. {Luke 24:38-43; John 20:24-29}

We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance towards God for our sins and a personal heart-felt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ which results in regeneration. This salvation is entirely by grace and not by works. {Ephesians 2:6-10; Romans 5:1 Acts 3:19-20}

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth to judge the world and to claim His Bride. {1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelations 1:7}

We believe that the church is Christ's spiritual body on earth today. It consists of born again believers and has both universal and local expressions. {Matthew 16:18; Acts 20:28

We believe in the doctrines of eternal punishment for the lost and eternal bliss and service for the saved; hell for the unsaved and Heaven for the saved. {John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:11-15}

We believe that Satan is a fallen, created being who is the 'god of this world'. He and his well organized company of demons are opposed to the Kingdom of God and work to defeat and destroy the believer. While his activity is real, Satan and his demon spirits were defeated and overthrown by Christ's victory at the cross. {Luke 10:17-20; Colossians 2:13-15; Ephesians 6:10-18}

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the Godhead who is active in the world today. The Spirit indwells and seals the believer at new birth. We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a subsequent experience and is available to all Christians to empower us to be witnesses. We believe in, and encourage, the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. {John 14: 16-17; Acts 1:8 Acts 2:1-4}

We believe that believer's Water Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of the church and should be practiced regularly. {Acts 2:38; Romans 6:3-10; 1 Corinthians 10: 16-21}

The Bible teaches us that without holiness no one can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation. {Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; Phillipians 3:12-14; 1 Corinthians 1:30}

Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today. {Mark 16:18; James 5:14-15; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; Isaiah 53:4-5}

Laying on of hands is a Biblical practice. Jesus practiced it in Mark 10:13-16 as a blessing, and it is our grounds for baby dedication instead of infant baptism. We believe in the laying on of hands for healing {Mark 5:22-23; Mark5:41; Mark 5:28-31; Acts 28:8; Acts19:11-12}; laying on of hands to confer office {Acts 6: 2-6}; laying on of hands to receive the Holy Spirit {Acts 8: 14-17}; laying on of hands to believe words spoken, to receive anointing, and to cultivate the anointing {1 Timothy 4:14}; and laying of hands for appointment to eldership {1 Timothy 5:22}.

We believe that God speaks today. There are at least five channels of prophecy by which God speaks to His people today. They are: the office of the prophet, prophetic preaching, prophetic presbytery, the gift of prophecy, and the spirit of prophecy. All five channels are received and encouraged in this church. We believe that hearing from God, both individually as members and corporately as a church, through prophecy or any other Biblical means chosen by God to communicate, is essential to our faith and walk with God. Prophecy is only one method of discerning God's will and direction. It is recognized that none of the methods or channels of prophecy will always be 100% accurate, and actions should not be taken on the basis of prophetic words alone without other confirmation. We believe the prophetic presbytery serves the purpose in the Body of Christ in activating, establishing, releasing, confirming, commissioning, and ordaining gifts to their office, function, and place of relationship and/or leadership. {1 Corinthians 14:3; Ephesians 4:11; Ephesians 2:20; 1 Timothy 4:14; Acts 13:1-3; Titus 1:5; Romans 12:6; 1 Peter 4:10; 1 Corinthians 14:39; 1 Corinthians 14:1; 1 Thessalonians 5:19-21; 1 Timothy 5:22; 2 Timothy 1:6}

We believe in the apostolic ministry for today as one which functions in one or more localities through foundational ministry as a father laying the foundation which is Christ and equipping the saints for the work of ministry. We seek to relate to the apostles of Christ and to be apostolic ourselves. {Ephesians 4:11-16; Colossians 1:25-29; Hebrews 6:1-2; Ephesians 2:20}

The need for deliverance is manifested by an inability to be free from bondage: e.g. mental (emotional), physical, or spiritual normally associated with demon activity. It is God's desire to bring deliverance to His people. {Job 5:19; Psalms 9:1-3; 2 Timothy 4:17; Hebrews 2:15; 2 Peter 2:9} We have been granted the authority in the name of Jesus to bring deliverance to others. {Mark 16:17; John 14:12; 1 Corinthians 12:8-11} We fully understand that our warfare is with the forces of evil {Ephesians 6:12}, our weapon is the Word of God, our authority and power is from Jesus Himself {Mark 16:17; Acts 1:8} and that the battlefield is first of all in the spiritual realm. {Ephesians 6:10-18; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; Romans 8:9; Galatians 5:22-23}
